The Disgraced Bride by Rose Pearson

After finishing A New Beginning, I continued on with the series by reading The Disgraced Bride. We met Emma Bavidge in A New Beginning and this story is hers.

A quote from The Disgraced Bride by Rose Pearson

Last season, Emma’s father fled from the Ton, taking Emma along with him. This resulted from the discovery that her father planned to blackmail an earl. Now everyone talks about Emma behind her back and even in front of her. As such, she fears ever finding someone so she asks for help from Lady Smithton.

The current season, Emma’s father requests that her aunt serve as her chaperone so Emma can find a husband. But when they arrive for the season and her aunt sees how Emma is treated, well, her aunt has little to do with her.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In The Disgraced Bride, Lord Morton pays attention to Emma’s plight, feeling somewhat guilty that he shared the information about Emma’s father with Lord Rochester, a friend at the time. But Lord Rochester then spread the information throughout the Ton, causing Emma’s disgrace. Will Lord Morton help Emma? And what is Lord Rochester up to?

This is on Kindle Unlimited. It is a good clean story. Don’t go in expecting spice and heat as there is none. It does set up the next book quite nicely too.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a romance so if you’re a romance lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
