The Dragon Sickness by Ava Richardson

I couldn’t stop with The Dragon Tamer. I had to keep going and read The Dragon Sickness. This book continues right where The Dragon Tamer left off.

Kaelan Younger finally has been accepted to the Akademy as Prince Lasaro’s dragon tamer. Even though she fought in the Battle of Bellsor, the masters and her fellow students still don’t trust her. Mostly that’s because of who her father is- Mordon.

Lasaro Afkarr is still fighting to prove himself. He’s getting stronger at holding his dragon form, especially with Kaelan nearby. But Lasaro has to fight his feelings for Kaelan since he knows he’ll have to marry an ally and not Kaelan (since tamers and dragons are forbidden to marry).

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In The Dragon Sickness, Kaelan and Lasaro are trying to work together while maintaining their emotional distance from one another. Both want Lasaro on the throne and know that it means that they can’t be together.

Now all of the dragons are coming down with a sickness that Kaelan can’t figure out how to heal. Fortunately, her tears help some, but it’s not enough. How will this end? Read the book!

Recommendation?

I absolutely loved this book. I can’t wait to read the final one in the trilogy and see how it ends, especially knowing the prophecy that we find out in this book. This one is available on Kindle Unlimited.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.

Miss the first one in the trilogy? Check it out here.
