Mystery

The Face of Deception by Iris Johansen

I’m not sure how I found The Face of Deception, but I borrowed it from my library. Yet, I had bought the Kindle edition back in 2021! How had I not read it yet?

A quote from The Face of Deception by Iris Johansen

Eve Duncan lost her daughter to a serial killer when her daughter was seven years old. Her daughter’s body is never recovered. Eve becomes a forensic sculptor, who works primarily on reconstructing the faces of missing children.

Two different men bring her skulls to reconstruct. Joe Quinn, a long-time friend of Eve’s who now works with Atlanta PD, brings her the skull of a young girl. John Logan is a billionaire who made his money in computers. He brings a conspiracy to Eve.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In The Face of Deception, Eve works for John Logan after he bribes her with a donation to her favorite charity. Who is the skull that Logan has Eve working on? Will this put her in danger?

Recommendation?

The Face of Deception is NOT available on Kindle Unlimited. I borrowed it from my library. I do recommend this one if you like TV shows like Bones, CSI, etc. There are quite a few twists that I didn’t see coming.
