Someone in one of my book groups on Facebook mentioned The Nanny and the Nerd so I had to check it out. I mean, the nerd is a video game developer so I kind of had to since that’s what my son is planning on doing when he graduates.
Penny Fennimore is an aspiring writer. While suffering writer’s block, she works at a restaurant until she is fired for being late one too many times. Penny then needs a job. That is, until Madelyn Malone offers her a position as a nanny to a video gaming mogul for his niece.
Rowen Gale is a billionaire video gaming mogul, who is now the guardian of his niece after his brother and sister-in-law died. However, he needs a nanny because he’s a workaholic.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In The Nanny and the Nerd, the sparks fly when Penny and Rowen meet and Penny starts as the nanny for Rowen’s niece. Penny helps Rowen not just with his niece, but she ends up helping with his video game narrative. But will this pen-and-paper gal and that video game mogul ever be able to work together for the long-term? Read it and find out.
Recommendation?
This is on Kindle Unlimited. I loved the characters in this one. The author does a good job of setting up the next books in the series too. Definitely should read this one, especially if you’re a gamer.
