I decided to revisit an older book (I bought the Kindle version in 2010)- The Search by Nora Roberts. I remembered bits and pieces, but not everything.
Fiona Bristow survived being abducted by a serial killer. She got away, but later that killer murdered her fiancé. Fortunately, her fiancé’s K-9 partner was able to immobilize the killer before succumbing to his own wounds. After the killer went to jail, Fiona moved to Orcas Island in the San Juans and started a dog training school. She also became part of the Search and Rescue teams with her dogs.
Simon Doyle works with wood. He creates and designs amazing pieces. His mother gifted him a puppy. Simon and Jaws, his puppy, barrel their way into Fiona’s life when Simon desperately needs help training Jaws. I mean, while Simon is explaining that to Fiona, Jaws manages to eat the headrest in Simon’s truck.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In The Search, when more co-eds are abducted the way Fiona was, even though the killer is still in prison, life changes. How will Simon and Fiona respond to this?
This book is available wherever you buy books. It has to be one of my favorite of Nora’s standalones. There are great dog training tips in the book.
