I have this idea for a subscription box. I’m working out the details, but it would include a cozy mystery and be built around it. So I’m reading lots of cozy mysteries. The next up was The Secret, Book, and Scone Society. I was looking to see if it would work for my box that I’m hoping to launch in September and ship in October.
Nora Pennington moved to Miracle Springs, North Carolina after her accident, which left her scarred. She bought the bookstore and a train caboose that had been converted into a tiny house. Nora helps people find the perfect book for them.
Three other ladies in town form the Secret, Book, & Scone Society with Nora to help discover what happened after a visiting businessman dies in the town. The man visited the Gingerbread House bakery for his comfort scone before his appointment with Nora. Yet, instead of making it to their appointment, he died.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In The Secret, Book, and Scone Society, Nora and others investigate the death since the local police claim it was a suicide. There is a mystery afoot. Was it a suicide? What else could be going on? Want to learn about it all? Read the book.
If you are a fan of cozy mysteries, then you should read this one. This was the first book in the series. It didn’t quite fit with what I had in mind for October, but who knows if this one will show up in another month’s box?

I’m writing a blog post for every book I read. Yes, I read a lot. But I enjoy reading and want to help you find books to read that you would enjoy.
