There are some people that recommend books to me that I always listen to because they haven’t failed me yet. My cousin-in-law Kathy is one of those people. At Thanksgiving last year, she told me to read two different series. The first one I read was The Bridge Kingdom. The Traitor Queen is the sequel to The Bridge Kingdom.

Lara grew up with her sisters in a desert oasis where they trained to be assassins for their father, the king of Maridrinia. Yet, Lara didn’t know that she would fall in love with the King of Ithicana and want to save Ithicana. But at the end of The Bridge Kingdom, Ithicana falls. Maridrinia imprisons Lara’s husband. Lara is branded as a traitor.

So, during The Traitor Queen, Lara does everything she can to free her husband and save Ithicana, even though no one believes that she’s working for the good of Ithicana. Lara knows she needs help so she sets out looking for her sisters.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In The Traitor Queen, Lara knows that she can never be forgiven. However, that doesn’t stop her from attempting to save Ithicana anyway. Once she restores the kingdom, she plans to slip away and live out her life far away.
Recommendation?
This book is on Kindle Unlimited. If you like a great storyline in a fantasy world, you will love this one. There is another book coming after this, but this one completes Lara’s story.

My plan for 2022 is to write about books that I think everyone should read. If you’re a fan of fantasy books, then this is definitely one you’ll want to read.
