The Wedding Wager is a book that I won in a Goodreads Giveaway. I saw a friend had entered the giveaway. After reading the synopsis, so did I. The next morning, I woke up to this on my Kindle. I had to read it because it sounded so good!
Lady Victoria Kirby just wants to be left alone to catalog her research and record history. Unfortunately, her father has other plans. He decides that he’s going to wager her hand in marriage at the gaming tables. The worst part is that it’s to a lecherous man.
That’s when the Duke of Chase steps in. While he spreads his reputation as a rake, he is, in fact, helping women out of bad situations. Since he knows Lady Victoria’s reputation, he thinks that she’s the solution to all his problems. After all, he made a promise to himself many years ago to never have an heir (who does that sound like?- Simon Basset).
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In the book The Wedding Wager, what caused the Duke of Chase to make that vow? What happens when he meets Lady Victoria and discovers that she’s not exactly what he expected? Will she find out all his secrets? Read and find out!
This one is not on Kindle Unlimited, but it’s an incredibly well written book with lots of twists. Some I could see coming while others not so much. I definitely recommend reading this one if you like historical romances.

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. I’m still working on October’s books.
