Trinkets, Treasures, and Other Bloody Magic by Meghan Ciana Doidge

I couldn’t stop with the last one. Trinkets, Treasures, and Other Bloody Magic was the next one is the series. I had to know what would happen with Jade and Sienna.

In the last book, Jade Godfrey learned that she’s half witch and half something else. But she doesn’t know what that other half is. Also in the last book, we discovered who was the one killing werewolves, including the gorgeous Hudson, who was going to take Jade out.

Jade misses her foster sister, Sienna, even though she knows she’s not supposed to. Yet, other magical beings surround Jade, like Kett, the vampire, and Desmond, the shapeshifter. Kett forces Jade to look for glimmers of magic. Jade is an alchemist, after all.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Trinkets, Treasures, and Other Bloody Magic, we meet Mory, the little sister of Rusty. As a fledging necromancer, Mory talks to shades and spectral energy. Mory and Jade visit the site where Rusty was killed. The group travels to Portland. Once there, a trap is sprung. Want to know what happens next? Just read it and see!

Recommendation?

I love stories like this. Magic has always captured my imagination and this one definitely does. Trinkets, Treasures, and Other Bloody Magic is an excellent addition to the series.
