I kept right on with my Pride & Prejudice binge read with Unconsciously Done. This is a short quick read. It’s a story of only 80 pages. The story starts immediately after Elizabeth’s refusal in Hunsford.

Mr. Darcy is incensed by Elizabeth’s refusal. When he turns to stalk out, instead he trips over an ottoman. Falling, he hits his head on a table. Seeing him fall makes Elizabeth question everything.

The fall knocks Mr. Darcy unconscious. After many attempts to wake him, finally he wakes when they use the smelling salts. While dazed, he proceeds to tell Elizabeth the truth about what happened with Wickham. Elizabeth sends the maid to find Colonel Fitzwilliam as she cannot help Mr. Darcy more.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Unconsciously Done, Elizabeth has a change of heart after Mr. Darcy’s fall. Colonel Fitzwilliam and Mr. Collins help Darcy to the carriage to get him back to Rosings. The next day or so, Elizabeth visits Mr Darcy with Charlotte. During the visit, Elizabeth and Darcy become engaged.
Recommendation?
Unconsciously Done is a very short novella. It’s great for if you are trying to meet a reading goal. The story is very low angst and mainly just sweet. It is on Kindle Unlimited.
