Romance

Vision in White by Nora Roberts

A friend of mine posted on Facebook, asking what is your favorite book wedding. I had to say Vision in White by Nora Roberts, where the girls play Wedding Day in the prologue. But, of course, it meant that I had to drag out my copies of the Bride Quartet to read again. It’s hard to believe that these came out TWELVE years ago.

A Quote from Vision in White by Nora Roberts

Carter Maguire is a self-professed book nerd. Maybe that’s why I like him so much. Doctor Maguire taught at Yale before returning home to teach at his high school alma mater. Carter also had a HUGE crush on Mackensie in high school.

A Quote from Vision in White by Nora Roberts

Mackensie Elliot only knows what it’s like to have her parents hop from one relationship to the next. After seeing that over and over again, could you blame a girl for being wary about committing herself to one? Luckily, her very absent father gifted her a camera when she was young. She quickly learned that she wanted to capture the moments.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Vision in White, we first see Mac with her three best friends: Laurel, Emma, and Parker, playing Wedding Day. Little did they know that later, they would own a wedding business. Each has their own role to play. Mackensie is the wedding photographer.

Carter arrives at Vows, the wedding business, as a stand-in for his future brother-in-law. But he gets turned around and winds up in Mac’s studio, rather than the big house. Carter gets an eyeful and then sees stars as he runs into the door. Their romance is only getting started.

Recommendation?

As all Nora Roberts’ books, I asbolutely love these. I adore her trilogies and quartets the most. This is the first of the Bride Quartet and it was wonderful to revisit them again. If you haven’t read this and you’re a sucker for romances, you need to read it. It’s a fantastic story.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
