The next book in the Morgan Dane series is What I’ve Done. I had to continue with this series as I wanted to know more about Morgan, especially her with Lance.
Morgan Dane is a widowed mother of three girls. While deployed overseas, her husband died. She now works as a defense attorney, which is very different from when she worked as a prosecuting attorney.
Lance Kruger is an ex-cop turned private detective. Now Morgan works with both Lance and his boss, Lincoln Sharp. Morgan and Lance have started a personal relationship, well, as much as you can with three young daughters.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In What I’ve Done, there are multiple cases that Morgan, Lance, and Sharp are working on. A rich guy hires Morgan to keep him out of jail, but when she refuses to compromise her ethics, he clocks her. Promptly, Morgan tells him to find a new lawyer, but will he leave her alone? Plus, a former partner of Sharp’s wife comes, asking for help for her daughter. Haley is a murder suspect, but needs her meds as she suffers from Addison’s disease. Will Morgan be able to help Haley?
What I’ve Done is available on Kindle Unlimited. In fact, you can listen to this one on Kindle Unlimited too! It’s the fourth in the Morgan Dane series. While this does connect to the Bree Taggert series, you don’t have to read that series first. If you’re a fan of mysteries and thrillers, you want to read this one!

In case you haven’t figured it out quite yet, I write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book (published on Thursdays), one about a mystery book (published on Saturdays), and one about a romance book (published on Mondays). This one is a mystery so if you’re a mystery lover, you’ll want to check it out!
